About this concept

Verbs taking two objects (indirect + direct): 俾 bei2 (give), 教 gaau3 (teach), 問 man6 (ask). Cantonese word order: V + indirect object + direct object, or V + direct object + 俾 + indirect object.

Examples

俾杯水我。Give me a glass of water.

佢教我廣東話。He/She teaches me Cantonese.

我問咗佢一個問題。I asked him/her a question.
