1. Introduction

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Settemila Lingue, operated by stickybitspecialist ("we", "us", "our"), a language learning platform available at www.settemilalingue.com (the "Service"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not access or use the Service.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement. If you are under 18, you confirm that you have obtained consent from a parent or legal guardian.

3. Account Registration

To use certain features of the Service, you must create an account by signing in with Google OAuth. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activities that occur under your account. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

4. Description of the Service

Settemila Lingue is an AI-powered language learning platform that uses spaced repetition and personalized topics to help users learn vocabulary across multiple languages. The Service is available in a free tier and a paid subscription tier ("Pro").

5. Subscriptions and Payments

The Service offers a free tier with limited features and a paid Pro subscription. Pro subscriptions are available on a monthly or annual billing cycle.

All payments are processed by our payment provider, Paddle. By subscribing to Pro, you agree to Paddle's terms of service and authorize recurring charges to your chosen payment method. Paddle acts as the Merchant of Record for all transactions.

Prices are displayed in euros and may vary by region. We reserve the right to change subscription prices upon reasonable notice. Price changes will take effect at the start of your next billing cycle.

6. Refund Policy

We want you to be satisfied with the Service. If you are not happy with your Pro subscription, you may request a refund under the following conditions:

• Within 14 days of initial purchase: You may request a full refund of your subscription fee, no questions asked.
• After 14 days: Refunds are generally not available for the current billing period. However, we may consider refund requests on a case-by-case basis for extenuating circumstances.
• Annual subscriptions: If you cancel an annual subscription within 14 days of purchase or renewal, you are entitled to a full refund. After 14 days, you may request a pro-rated refund for unused months at our discretion.

To request a refund, contact us at support@settemilalingue.com. Refunds are processed through Paddle and typically appear within 5–10 business days.

7. Cancellation

You may cancel your Pro subscription at any time through your account settings. Upon cancellation, you will retain access to Pro features until the end of your current billing period. After that, your account will revert to the free tier.

We do not delete your learning data when you downgrade to the free tier.

8. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service, other accounts, or related systems
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure
• Use automated systems (bots, scrapers) to access the Service without permission
• Share your account credentials with third parties
• Submit content that is offensive, harmful, or infringes on the rights of others

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms.

9. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, text, graphics, software, and other content, is owned by stickybitspecialist and is protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from our content without prior written consent.

User-generated content (such as custom topics) remains your property. By submitting content to the Service, you grant us a limited license to use, store, and display it as necessary to provide the Service.

10. AI-Generated Content

Parts of the Service use artificial intelligence to generate language learning content, including vocabulary, example sentences, and grammar explanations. While we strive for accuracy, AI-generated content may occasionally contain errors. The Service is intended as a learning aid and should not be relied upon as the sole source of linguistic information.

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, stickybitspecialist shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses resulting from your use of the Service.

Our total liability for any claims arising from or related to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Terms on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Netherlands, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Amsterdam, the Netherlands.
